New robot strategy to save South Jutland silo factory from several years of labor shortage

For several years, the company Tunetanken in Vejen has had to reassess its priorities regarding both products and customers due to a shortage of labor at the factory. Now, with the installation of its first robot, the company hopes to significantly increase production capacity and resume exports.

“The employees were very interested and responded positively to the introduction of robots at the factory. It is a great addition to our team,” says Stellan Carlsson, Sales Manager at Tunetanken in Vejen.

The South Jutland–based company, which manufactures agricultural tanks, silos, and containers from composite materials (fiberglass), has been very busy in recent years. This is due both to the growing demand for Tunetanken’s products and to the lack of available labor.
